The Churchill PTO has been busy planning our annual all-school field day scheduled for Tuesday, June 4th. On that day we have many fun events planned including an all-school picnic lunch outside. Each student will need to bring a sack lunch from home. If your child orders hot lunch that day, it will be a sack lunch. Students may also want to bring a blanket or beach towel to sit on during lunch.
We will be having students in Kindergarten – 2nd grade participate in Field Day events from 9:30am-11:20am. Students in all grades will eat a picnic style lunch outside from 11:20am-11:50am. Students in 3rd grade – 5th grade will participate in Field Day events from 12:00pm-1:50pm.
Please make sure to have your student(s) dress appropriately for weather, wear sunscreen, and comfortable tennis shoes. To help identify grade levels we are encouraging students to wear their Churchill Elementary T-Shirts or dress in the following colors organized by grade level:
Kindergarten: Neon Green
1st Grade: Red
2nd Grade: Orange
3rd Grade: Teal
4th Grade: Carolina Blue
5th Grade: Navy Blue
In order for this to be a successful event, we will need many parent volunteers! Volunteers will be needed to help with set-up, running events, assisting at the water/first aid station, and cleaning up at the end of the day. If you can help in any way, please click on the link. You will be directed to our sign-up genius where you can choose a time and/or specific event where you would like to help.
Thank you very much for your help and support! We’re positive the students are going to have a great time that will build lasting memories of their time at Churchill.
