We hope that you are having a great summer!
And we are looking forward to welcoming back all of our Sailors as we are gearing up for a memorable and exciting school year.
Below you will find important information regarding student orientation, open house and first day of school. In the coming days, all enrolled students of Mona Shores High School will receive an orientation mailing containing important information documents for the upcoming school year. If you have not received the mailing by August 18 please contact the counseling office.
Orientation Reminders:
During your assigned orientation time you may “drop-in” when convenient. However, you will not be allowed to enter after the posted closing time. Your student ID will be used during the entire orientation process. All students will receive a free student ID at orientation. Don’t forget to bring your bookbag to assist you in carrying books and other materials you receive including your Chromebook. Chromebooks will not be issued with a case unless it is requested by the student. It is not necessary for parents to accompany their students during orientation. Please drop your son or daughter off at the Sailor Center Lobby (stadium parking lot). The orientation could take anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes depending on the volume of students attending at any one time. Please plan accordingly.
All students will receive Chromebook/Password during orientation- All parents must log in to the Parent Portal with their student(s) and click the Demographics Update link prior to orientation. This packet contains the Parent Portal Annual Information Update form with instructions to create a new account if you did not have one in our district prior to this year.
Your locker # and combinations will be available in the Parent/Student Portal under the School Information link, and then along the top of that School Information box.
Mona Shores High School Open house will be held on Wednesday, August 30th from 7:00-8:30 pm. Students and parents are encouraged to attend. It is a great opportunity to meet their teachers and become familiar with the campus.
First Day of School is Tuesday, September 5th. School starts at 7:45 Dismissal is 2:55 pm.
