You got this! Thank you Coach Basse for your tireless efforts!

Class of 2028 Explores Careers

On Thursday, March 20th, our entire 9th grade class traveled to Devos Place in Grand Rapids for the MiCareerQuest Fair. Students were able to experience a wide array of interactive displays and talk to professionals in fields ranging from construction to health sciences. This important hands-on exploration activity is an annual spring trip for our freshmen.

World Down Syndrome Day is marked each year on March 21, beginning in 2007. The 21st day of March was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome.

Assessment for Learning Updates:

2025 Spring Testing “Save the Dates”

Thursday, March 27th: ACT WorkKeys Exam

  • Only juniors will take this test that is designed to assess workplace readiness.  Testing will take place in either the Hanichen or Auxiliary gym.  All other grades will attend classes as they normally would.  No WIN time on this day.

Tuesday, April 1st: Digital Readiness Check

  • All students in grades 9-11 will bring a fully-charged chromebook to school that day to enter their demographic information into the Bluebook app in preparation for either the PSAT (9th & 10th grade) or SAT (11th grade).  Seniors will log into Xello and finish their Educational Development Plans.  There will be a meeting period scheduled on this day.

April 4th to April 11th Spring Break

April 14th to April 18th M-Step Science & Social Studies

  • Only juniors will take these tests in their science and social studies classes throughout the week.  This is also an online exam and is designed to assess how well our students have learned state standards in these two content areas.

Tuesday, April 22nd: SAT School Day

  • Seniors will be the only students who do not test on this day. Seniors will report to the Sailor Center to complete the MDE graduation requirement of CPR and AED training. The rest of the school will take either the PSAT or SAT.  We will observe a delayed start/early release schedule.
  • This is an important exam that can influence college acceptance and earns students tuition relief based on their score.  We want them to do their best!
