Thank you to Norton Shores Fire Department for leading our Seniors through CPR and AED training today. Each of our seniors received the opportunity to have hands on practice on the manikins.
Special Thank you to Deputy Fire Chief Joe Kinnucan for providing the training and coordinating his team to support our students.
Our seniors will soon be graduating and will have first hand knowledge on how to respond in an emergency situation.

Congratulations to the Grand Champion of the Door decorating contest! Mrs. Drelles! And big thanks to all of our Sailors! Building wide the doors were creative and included all students!
Mrs. Sailors' business students had a Q & A session with a software engineer from Tesla. Students were able to learn about college courseload, career options, and challenges of the workplace. Students asked great questions and learned a ton from someone in the work force... Another tremendous career education opportunity for our students.
Mrs. Claussen's marketing students had the opportunity to visit Blended Furniture Market to learn the ins-and-outs of managing a local business. From pricing to purchasing, students got an up close view of marketing strategy and business operations. This important community partnership helps our students become college, career, and life ready. Thank you to owner RandiLynn Talsma for the tour.
February is Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month! CTE provides opportunities for high school and college students to explore careers, gain real-world skills, and find a path to a career they are passionate about.
Did you know? Students who are enrolled in CTE programs are more engaged, graduate from high school at higher rates, earn industry-recognized credentials, and have rewarding and familysustaining careers.
Mona Shores High School offers 17 different Career Tech courses in addition to another 16 opportunities for our juniors and seniors to take courses at the Muskegon Area ISD's Career Tech Center. As part of our commitment to helping our students become college, career, and life ready, we have almost 300 students enrolled in these courses!
