Dear Lincoln Park Families,

The staff at Lincoln Park would like to thank you for your hard work and support this school year. We feel honored to spend each day helping your students grow into the best CREW members possible.  We appreciate each of you for all of the time and assistance you provided this school year.  We couldn’t do our jobs without you!

Please take a moment to thank your teachers for completing a very successful year.  Every day of the 23-24 school year was a great day to be a Sailor because of the amazing educators and students who we are lucky enough to call our CREW.

Good News:

  • Ride With Pride Assembly and Prizes were awarded on Friday, June 7, including two bicycles! What a fun way to celebrate students and their positive behavior goals.

  • Field Day was such a fun day.  We loved the way our fifth graders planned and led the events for our K-4 grade students.

  • If you haven’t seen pictures of these fun days, be sure to like and follow our Facebook page and Website

  • Today, students participated in our third annual “Step Up Day”.  For about 30 minutes, each CREW member met the teachers and learned about the highlights for their upcoming grade level.  We hope this first look and introduction will ease worries about transitioning to a new grade next school year.

Office Reminders:

  • If your child has medication at school, please be sure to come to the office and pick it up before noon Friday.  Medications cannot be sent home with a student.  Thank you!

  • Report Cards and next year’s suggested supply lists will be mailed to families next week.

Office Hours for next week are as follows:

  • Monday & Tuesday: 8 AM – 3 PM

  • Wednesday: CLOSED in observance of Juneteenth

  • Thursday: 8 AM – 3 PM

  • Friday: 8 AM – 12PM

After that, the office will be closed for summer.  Messages, both phone and email, will not be checked regularly. The office re-opens on August 13 for the 2024-2025 school year.  The administration offices are open throughout the summer if you have questions that need addressed through the summer months.

Important Dates:

  • Wednesday, June 12: Record’s Day - ½ Day 11:45 dismissal

  • Thursday, June 13: 5th Grade Farewell 9:00

  • Thursday, June 13: Last day of school - ½ Day 11:45 dismissal

Opportunities for Summer:

  • Mona Shores offers many Enrichment Camps and Activities to help fill your child’s days with purpose this summer.  Check out the offerings found on our website - https://www.monashores.net/page/enrichment-camps-and-activities

  • Research proves that students lose precious learning over the summer if they don’t keep their academic skills active.  Most students will be bringing home activities and suggestions from their classroom teacher.  We have compiled a list of activities by the grade your child is finishing up: Kindergarten, First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth

5th Grade Completion Reminders:

  • Thursday, June 13.

  • Doors open at 8:45.  Please enter using Door #9.

  • Due to parent pick up, please refrain from parking in the pick up loop until 8:35.

  • Ceremony begins at 9 and will last approximately one hour, with refreshments, gifts, and time for pictures at the conclusion.

  • While 5th grade students will be dismissed as they finish this special event, we ask that parents allow younger siblings to remain with their classes and enjoy the final day of school with their classmates.

We wish our graduating fifth graders and their families all the best as they move on to Middle School.  We can’t wait to see all they achieve in their bright Sailor futures!

Have a great summer!

Shari Ralston and the Lincoln Park CREW
