On Tuesday, September 17, thirty eight performing arts students were newly inducted to the Mona Shores Chapter of the Tri-M Music Honor Society bringing the groups membership to sixty nine for the 2024-2025 school year. Tri-M is a program of the National Association for Music Education that recognizes student musicians who go above and beyond both in the academic classroom and performing arts ensembles. Tri-M members aim to make a difference in their school and community through music based service projects. “I think it’s really fun to see both new and returning members be proud of themselves”, said Da’Kaila Bell, Tri-M president. “ I appreciate our advisor, Mr. Sarns, putting together this ceremony for us. Seeing the support from friends and family made for a great event.” Each year the organization presents an honorary membership to an influential adult. This year Tri-M honored Mrs. Molly Lawton for her many years of work with the Allegros musical theater group.
